I had originally planned to travel out to Laos and Thailand at the end of February2010 this would have been a furtherence (??!!) of my Asia travels carrying on from where i left them last in Cambodia.If you havn't been then you must - I preferred it in truth to Vietnam.
But Agh the best laid plans of mice and "Mick".

Mick you cry where did he come from?? (That will teach you not to check out links to his web site WWW.simplymick.com. Well to continue it was Norwich Hotel School actually. Mick had been appointed Head of Hotel school many years after I left and simply based on me having a continued professional interest in the school. We struck up a professional relationship.

So back to the travelling bit, I spoke with Mick a couple of weeks ago and the man was doing his usuall highly motivated full of enthusiasm bit - ho hum and there it was that going to Bulgaria suddenly seemed a great idea. Asia cancelled. New flight tickets booked and then it seemed a good idea to tell Mick(and Christine his wife) I was coming. Not quite turning up on the door step but nearly!

As a digress Laos is heading towards its stonking hot season where in contrst Bulgaria is freezing cold. Not sure which is the best option chill blaines and hyperthermia or sunstroke and dehydration.

Bottom line of this introduction is that I will be travelling out to the project in Bulgaria on the 17th February - let the adventure begin.
